The reverse shows the standing figure of Britannia, the female personification of Great Britain, turned left and partly back, with flowing robes. She is wearing a crested Corinthian helmet; in her right hand - a round shield; in her left hand she is holding an upright trident.

At her feet, a lion, its tail draped around her legs. In the background, a globe.
