Struck to commemorate the 25 year Jubilee of King George V. Incuse edge lettering on circulation coins, raised edge lettering on proofs: "DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI XXV" (A decoration and a guard. Regnal year 25.).
Thanks to the modernistic design of St George this coin is affectionately known as the "Rocking Horse" crown.
Circulation coins are 0.500 silver, proofs are 0.925 silver.

Reverse: St. George wearing armour and holding a sword and shield (bearing the cross of St. George) on horseback advancing to left above a fallen dragon with broken lance in its side; around above, CROWN 1935.
