This set contains four gold coins and seven silver coins, including a Five Pound, Two Pound, Sovereign, Half Sovereign, Crown, Double Florin, Half Crown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence and Threepence, all dated 1887. Each piece bears Joseph Edgar Boehm’s Jubilee Portrait of Victoria, introduced in this year: the first coinage portrait specifically introduced to mark a jubilee. This year is also significant in that it saw the gold Five Pound coin enter circulation and the introduction of the second circulating gold Two Pound coin.</strong></span></p>
