Rest assured all photographs are of the actual coin you will receive.

The reverse design of the coin depicts some of the royal regalia traditionally associated with the coronation ceremony

At the centre is the crown of Saint Edward, named after Saint Edward the Confessor, one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings of England (1042 – 5 January 1066), it has been traditionally used to crown English and British monarchs at their coronations since the 13th century (with a two-century gap between 1689 and 1911). For this reason, it is sometimes also called “the Coronation Crown”.

Surrounding the crown are the Sovereign’s Sceptres. On the left, the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross, representing the monarch’s temporal power; this sceptre features the enormous Cullinan I Diamond which, at 530.2 carats, is the largest colourless cut diamond in the world. On the right, the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Dove: the dove symbolises the Holy Ghost and the King’s spiritual role as Head of the Anglican Church.

Around above, the inscription THE CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III, below which the date of the coronation, 6 MAY 2023.
